What should you expect as a new patient ?

We understand that starting treatment at a new office can be a big hassle. We aim to make this process as smooth as possible. Here’s what you can expect at your first visit.

Forms

When you schedule your initial appointment, we will email you your intake forms to fill out. These forms help us better understand your medical history and current concerns. They can be filled out online and sent directly to the office. If you prefer to fill these forms out in person, we ask that you arrive 30 minutes early for your appointment.

Consultation

Do you have questions about chiropractic? Come on into the office to meet Dr. Moore and the staff. In this 15-minute consultation, you and Dr. Moore will discuss your concerns and health goals.

Examination

This full examination will check your range of motion, posture, and subluxations. Using neurological, orthopedic, and chiropractic examination techniques, Dr. Moore will be able to determine the best care plan for your individual needs. Please allow approximately one hour for your initial exam.

Images

If you don’t have updated images already, Dr. Moore will refer you to a convenient imaging center for the appropriate diagnostic images. This can include X-rays or MRI’s. Images are important for diagnostic purposes.

Review of findings

Dr. Moore will review your imaging and examination results to determine the best care plan for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is that popping noise?

The “popping” or “cracking” sound that many associate with chiropractic adjustments isn’t popping or cracking at all! It’s actually the release of gas from synovial fluid, which acts as a lubricant between joints. This fluid is what helps your joints move smoothly and without pain.

  • Will I have to be adjusted forever?

The short answer – no. While we love to see you, we don’t want you to have to keep coming back forever! Our goal is to help you achieve wellness. How long your treatment lasts will depend on your specific condition, progress, and how you feel.

A D.C. program required over 4,500 hours of intensive classes and clinical training. Currently, 16 schools in the U.S. offer accredited D.C. programs.
